Brief History: Adam Nathaniel Edwards was born in New York City on November 3rd, 1991. His parents, Natalie and David Edwards, were both associated with show business: Natalie was a film producer, and David worked in television development for a major studio. When Adam was born, they both chose to continue with their jobs rather than actually raise the child, leaving him with tutors and a nanny most of the time, along with a series of babysitters. It was only when he was two years old and started showing an interest in entertaining said babysitters that his parents took an interest in him, and he became a work in progress for the both of them. They were more than a little disappointed when all he could get as a child were several commercial gigs and modeling, in small publications and only on local television. Their boy was good, they knew, but people just weren't giving him a chance! From the time he was three years old on until he was ten, he did different catalogs and commercials, the most famous being a spot in a Sears catalog.
When he was eleven years old, his parents sent Adam to an open casting call for a new generation of cast members of an old show - The Bunny Brigade. While Adam wasn't too enthused with the idea of it, he went ahead with his audition, and was one of the finalists. It looked like he wouldn't make it past that, however, when his nervousness got the better of him and he botched his call back. However, when the girl who had scored just above him on the casting director's list got sick, he was called and given the position. Adam was a cast member of the show from that season, at age eleven, until last year, at age seventeen, when he hung up his Brigade Ears for the last time and left the show. He's been trying to get more adult roles now, having just recently turned eighteen, but so far no one seems willing to hire him, because of his squeaky clean image from the show. It was as if his career was cursed by his biggest break, and he has been suffering the consequences. In September, when the lack of jobs became apparent, his parents, still too busy to really keep up with the teen, sent Adam to live with his aunt in Kansas City. Upon his arrival, she made Adam start public school for the first time in his life, and he already hates it.
As if the seeming failure of his career wasn't enough to push more of a gap between Adam and his parents (his father in particular), he has proven to be a failure in another of his family's "legacies": abilities. Both of Adam's parents were born with abilities, and have made no real secret of that fact to their son. It's a family trait, one that has stretched back for quite some time in both families . . . and one Adam has shown no inclination towards. If he has an ability, it has remained unmanifested for the entirety of his life, and he doesn't expect one to ever really make an appearance, at this point.
